Your 3-5-3 is a great reminder of what we discard and take for granted. We forgot easily...
As Davis F. Wallace said in his book "This Is Water: Some Thoughts...", in his story of fish:
"There are these two young fish swimming along and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way, who nods at them and says "Morning, boys. How's the water?" And the two young fish swim on for a bit, and then eventually one of them looks over at the other and goes "What the hell is water?"

This one spoke to me. The title, the line above (especially), and the artwork with the three words that spell it out so well...all lead up to the poem effectively. I like the first line, "We still breathe!" which speaks to the gratitude we all must recognize that even though this year has been scary, we are, as the last line says, "still alive." Like the best of poetry, this one says so much in a few brief lines. Kudos for stating a mantra we must say to ourselves every time we wake up from a restful sleep. Thank you for the reminder.

This is a lovely short poem. Never before have most people given thanks each day that they still breathe. We do indeed need to be thankful and grateful, knowing we are blessed. Well written. Best wishes for the contest.
