Hello Katherine.

I lived in Germany for 3 years and have waited across and fallen into many becks. The appearance of the one in your renga is red, which is described in your verse.

Hello Robert, I spent the whole of my primary school playtimes messing around in the beck - astonishing we all grew up to normal adult status really. Thank you for having the time to review - I know you are busy now; how's it going?

    Hello Katherine.

You're quite welcome for the review.

I am busy right now reviewing my writing. I had a writer/publisher look at my writing. He commented he saw a similarity between my poetry and Kipling. I was shocked. He said I use techniques of hyperbola, repetition, imagery, and metaphor. The story lines often focus on similarity examining the character and makeup of people.

I have volumes of short stories and poetry that I am weighing for the book. I already have a theme.

    Robert

Cleansed Blood Spilt in Anger
by Katherine M. Kean

Hello, Katherine,

Beautiful 7/7 couplet following my 5/7/5 ... it's a good fit. Thank you very much for adding a chapter to our book and for remembering to add renga author notes. The river in the picture looks like blood. It's perfect for the poem. Well done!

Thank you very much for this enthusiastic review. I liked the red river too, even though it's a bit wide to be a beck (chose that name to avoid clashing with your stream). I am still not sure about the title. Should it be Blood Spilt in Anger, Cleansed

Beck is the same in German, our elder daughter (Rebecca-Bec) thought all those rivers in Germany were named after her. Must be the Saxon, Angles and Jute connection, brilliant renga post, fantastic artwork, Katherine, blessings Roy

Thank you for reviewing, Roy. I felt (and still do till Gypsy tells me what she thinks of it) very nervous about this first attempt into uncharted territory, but the chapter before really inspired me. I shall add your info about Beck also working in german to my note.

You did fine Katherine, confidence grows as one progresses, I was once a nervous wreck, I?d post then cringe. Heh heh.

It?s true dear friend, but I?ve learnt a lot here, some came alongside me, for which I?m ever grateful.
