I'll drink to that toast also!! I like the sentiment expressed - it is relevant to our current situation and looks optimistically forward to better times.
(Personally, I feel there is too much space between the lines and that is distracting.)

Hello, anonymous,

Good entry for the Rhyme That 1-6-1 writing prompt contest. Good syllables count and rhymes. The lines flow. Cute presentation. The syntaxt is a little off.... suggestion....

Here's
to many happy years
Cheers

. Good luck in the contest.

The artwork is a perfect accompaniment to your 1-6-1 poem. It is hard to express oneself with so few syllables, but I am sure the whole world echoes your thoughts and wishes expressed in the toast!

A very well-written 1-6-1 poem. I think most of us just wish thix year will end now finally and that we can start a better year from scratch, let all the evil things disappear and let's get back to normality.

I so agree with your uplifting words here, this year has been such a challenge and it still isn't over yet as we hide inside our homes whilst the chaos outside continues, next year I welcome some positive changes, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

And cheers to you too, for a cute but relevant little poem. Let's hope all the bad times will soon be behind us. Best of luck in the contest. BTW: nice artwork selection.

Nailed it. I want to have this poem printed and stamped on 7 shirts so I can wear it every single day of my week. And maybe a sweater, as well, so I'm covered for the Winter.

This is a cheerful poem. We all like to see more happy days. Forget the dark ages, wake up and look at the bright sun. Everything will be alright.

Forget the dark days, only remember the good days.

This work has reached the exceptional level

Love the form of the style of the content everything about this is perfect, the rhyming scheme, the picture, and the thing. Who says one can't drink to be merry and toast to such positive things as success now and in the future!

Blessings,

This is such a delightful offering. The rhyme leaves one feeling very buoyant and hopeful. My only question is the 1-6-1 format. I believe you have 7 syllables in the second line.
