Wonderful photo of the family. Your daughter is really busy and possibly overdoing it. Sometimes a care facility turns out to be the best solution, if it is too difficult to take care of the parent at home. Your thoughts are beautifully expressed. Just my thinking--I'd place the last two paragraphs earlier in the poem. I'd like your fourth stanza to be your last one. judi

You're welcome. It's a hard decision to face about caring for a family member who can't take care of himself. judi

It is indeed,

You're very welcome. Sometimes people can get leave from work in situations like this. Would that be possible, so daughter-in-law wouldn't have to have so much responsibility. judi
-
At the moment she?s only relieving, next year she?s full, a nurse comes in daily, but he can be forgetful and naughty, the problem is the sister in law giving her curry, who is unhelpful, saying untruths behind her back, it?s a long story, but Rebecca is hurt.

These situations are sad. It really puts a strain on the family. judi

It does

What a wonderful post my dear friend :)
Your daughter is not only beautiful on the outside, but more beauty shines on the inside. She sounds like a kind hearted person. Many prayers sent to her and her father-n-law.
Thanks for sharing, Roy :)
Always your fan,
Shana :)

She'll be glad that she did in the long run. Thank you for sharing this so that I may pray for her. I was the caregiver for my mother-in-law for four years. She had a Alzheimer's and couldn't even eat toward the end. I had just joined fan story and injured my arm when I first started taking care of her and I felt like I was in a crucible of refinery. That was the hardest four years of my life. Thankfully, we had Hospice towards the end which took about four months. We could hardly touch her because her skin was deteriorating so quickly. I had to rub her medication's on her skin because she could no longer take it orally. She did recognize Jack and I toward the end and called us by name. She went in her sleep. Our family wanted to institutionalize her. We stepped in and said no. Here, it is very expensive to put someone in a full service nursing home. 90k a year.
God bless your girl. What an angel!!
Sending you my best today as always. Praying for you all today. Sal XOs....

This poem is filled with sterling advice about God, to encourage your daughter in her actions. She sounds so special to be so kind-hearted and caring. What she is doing takes a lot of courage and strength of character.

Roy,
Sounds like you have a great deal to be proud of by this young lady. *smile* Apparently, her foundation is strong and so she is able to stand strong for others now. Kudos! She sounds lovely!

That is a lovely poem about your lovely daughter, Roy. You have certainly been blessed with a wonderful family. I can see Rebecca takes after her dad and mum, kind, loving and caring. You can be proud, my dear friend. Well done, Rebecca will love this poem, although she might blush a bit! :)) Warm hugs my friend. Sandra xxx

Your poem is really well-written, descriptive, and touching. We do all we can for our children, but must face the fact that we can't remedy all of their challenges. Your notes made me realize just how special this poem is!

Oh Roy, this is a lovely dedication to your lovely daughter. What a lovely, caring person she is. You have written a beautiful poem for her in good aabb rhyme and rhythm. It was your author notes that impressed me. Your daughter is a lovely person. Is it any wonder that you are so proud of her. Well done Dorothy x

A very well-written heartfelt poem about the good heart of a daughter that bring joy to your heart but many others breaking her heart with their selfishness not to care for their own.

This is a very nice six-stanza poem in rhymed quatrains that follows an aabb, ccdd, rhyme scheme. Favorite lines: But under shadow's wings you'll be
and in God's presence you'll be free
Caretaking is more difficult than people know. I bet your daughter will appreciate this very much.
