This is very cool because I believe in this kind of thing. Great short poem and picture, it should do well in the contest. Thanks for sharing and good luck.

Cool, I believe we all the capacity to hear and inner voice, My God or whom I call Master or the Angels or Elders. But certainly feasible.

This is a very well written Nonet poem. The content somehow is a little nebulous for me. I am aware that sometimes I canperceive events, I think I am a pretty good judge of characters as well.

I really liked this nonet, they are hard to write, but you have done it perfectly. The syllable count is spot on. Not only have you written this well, you have also managed to rhyme it! I do believe some people are able to see into the future, I wish I could, I'd win the lottery!! Lol. Well done, this is a wonderful contest entry. Good luck! :)) Sandra xx

This nonet, Prescience, has the proper nine to one, descending syllable formatting, and allows that some people know in advance what will be. Hope they are happy with what they see.

I would think having precognition would have its ups and downs but in the end, I doubt most people would want it, unless it were something they could summon at will. Having it all of the time would strain the brain...probably make you crazy.
I like your poem and it works well as a nonet. Your last line makes sense...if you see something really bad coming, act. Howver...
----
I remember a short story I read decades ago called "Back There." The main charater was given the ability to time travel (I don't know why) and decided to go back and stop Abraham Lincoln's assassination.
He warned everyone and took every action he could think of, to no avail. Because of his actions, the history books changed in present time and told of a madman that had tried to warn about the assassination attempt. He was thought to be crazy by most. The rest of the people assumed he was part of the plot.
The point...I'm not sure pre-cognition would enable us to do what we hope. It might be true that what is meant to be will be. Who knows.

Cynthia, I believe your caution is one of good reason. It seems to me that a person quite literally would be perhaps frozen in time and space trying desperately what action one should/could take first.

This is a splendid example of combining poetry with education and presenting a unique idea in rhyme. I believe this is a real thing with some people. (I have had personal encounters with someone who helped my brother-in-law find a missing plane.) Your poem is well written and outstandingly interesting. Best of luck in this contest. MM

The title of the poem attracted me. I found it intriguing. Not only how it is written (something very new for me) but the subject of having knowledge of events before it takes place is mindblowing. A well written nonnet Good luck!

-Nice artwork, Jim.
-Your notes are appreciated.
-You did a good job with
this nonet-good syllable count,
topic, imagery, and rhyme.
-You also tell a mini story
about a person with precognition,
and being thought an oddity.
-The mission is a good one, too!
-Have a great day, and good
luck in the contest.

Sometimes, I think all humans are from Missouri--you know, the Show-Me State. I believe in some of the aspects we consider 'prescient'. Even if we can neither explain it, nor strictly define it. Some things, we intuit. Is this a form of prescience? Who knows. We cannot believe in what we don't understand--religion aside. Someday we'll know more about what we don't know now. How's that for prescience?

Interesting nonet. Best of luck.

Peace, Lee
