Almost a perfect flatter alliteration for your 2-4-2. Too bad 'ferret' is two syllables. Does a fox have the same problem with a skunk? LOL
'faux fur' is a great use of your language!

This is delightful! What a clever convention to create this relationship. You introduce two characters in such a brief amount of words. Good use of humor as well!

This is a very cute piece and it is an appropriate entry for the contest. I love the alliteration and the pictures are a fitting complement to the poem. Good luck in the voting.

This is such a clever and humorous 2-4-2, lobber. You employed alliteration so well, too. Betcha wish there was an "f" somewhere in skunk. This should gather a lot of judges' eyes. Good luck in the contest.

A very well-written 2-4-2 poem about the Finch that fears the skunk's fake feathers on display he only has it to fool the unaware prey he is after.

Oh, I am so sorry for the poor finch - I didn't realize there are so many predators out there to hunt them! Fantastic pictures and presentation; thank you for your links and notes.
This should make a brilliant entry into that contest; good luck in the booths.

Great 2/4/2. An allit fest ð??? Australia is blessed with a great range of finches but thankfully, no skunks or native squirrels. Sadly, something like 5 million feral cats. DJ

We only have domestic cats, but it's the feral ones that do more damage, they wreak a lot of havoc, this is an excellent entry in this 2/4/2 poetry contest, well done, good luck, blessings Roy

I did not know squirrels and skunks are predators of birds. The squirrels in my back yard don't seem to bother the birds except for eating their seed. Your illustrations are great. Nicely done.

thnx for stopping by. Shunks also like to eat the following:
Insects
Frogs and toads
Birds and other eggs
poultry for their eggs
Earthworms
Grubs
Snakes
Other small animals
bees
Berries
Edible leaves
Nutritious grasses
Plant roots
Nuts
Corn
Grapes
Cherries
Other berries
They are quite clever as to how they obtain bees at their hive.
