What a heartfelt and thoughtful prayer for everyone. There is no one you didn't include in your prayer, which is part of what makes it so special.
The contrast between the first part of the poem where you talk about the usuals of the season like getting out the warm pajamas, etc., contrasts strikingly with the second part, which focuses on the things that aren't usual...covid, so much homelessness, wild fires, etc. The contrast makes it even more intense.

Your words covered it all. This was such a year with so much. I appreciate your mention of those who suffered through the fires in California, my heart goes out to them. Excellent free verse form that captures the essence of our times and the importance of thanking God.

Beautifully written dear Linda, there are so many, we had similar fires, loss of homes, livestock, fauna and flora, property, it's been a very sad period, the governments have been brilliant with the handling of the virus, both state and federal, well done, merry Christmas, blessings Roy

1.) for all of those who have been pla(g)ued by the C(orona) Virus (C[OVID] 19)
--> for all of those who have been plagued by the Corona Virus (COVID19)
2.) ( friends. families, and their pets pets)
--> delete one 'pets'?
3.) many lost lost their lives, and their loved ones
--> have lost their lives and their loved ones
--> since this is a continuation of a sentence started before. Also, notice I deleted the second 'lost'

you so remind me of Brooke...she would come right behind me
and show me my mistakes...some even made her laugh...because they would be repeats...LOL...you can (if I may) anytime...
