Harry,
Congratulations on your second place finish. Spouses everywhere are applauding your heartfelt write. With just a few little words- you were able to convey respect, love and sweetness.

Simple and sweet! Great use of the required end rhymes. The final word is key to the rest of the poem which gives a recipe for a happy married life. Best wishes in the contest!

Thank you, my dear, for your encouraging review.

You have used the brief form of the 1-6-1 poem to pen a fine tribute to a wife.
I can tell you from 46 years experience that the 'without strife' part of your poem is unlikely to be borne out in reality, but then, what do poems have to do with reality?!
Good look in the contest.

Yes, you are quite right. But I took poetic license with this one. Thanks for the read and review.

Dear Mystery Poet,
Aaawwwwww.... I know! This is really my hubby, right? You've made an account on here and you just wanted to show how much you ADORE me by creating this magical post. --sigh--
NOT.
I think this is a marvelous post and a wonderfully romantic piece. If you haven't shown it to her yet, please let your wife see this as soon as possible. This is wonderful. I haven't seen a lot of these entries yet, but I feel like yours will be in the top. Good luck!
