I had to have a giggle at this one, amazing how many turkeys ate slain as an offering for thanksgiving, but I'm so glad for those pilgrim fathers who instituted this one. Well done, great post, good luck, blessings Roy

Okay, I'm still trying to figure out why I like this. I don't know why. But I do. It made me chuckle. I like anything which makes me chuckle. Even if I can't figure out why. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Carolyn.

This is a very cute poem and I like it a lot...one of the few Covid-related poems that doesn't make us feel badly.
It makes me smile.
If they were a bit more aware, maybe they could distance enough that they avoid being the dinner.
A very good entry in the contest.
May you and yours have a wonderful holiday.

Nice entry for the Thanksgiving writing prompt contest. You followed the two lines rule. The presentation is pretty.
It's funny to think of turkeys socially distancing.
Good luck in the contest.

Now Jaded831,
This prophetic and poetic reality rhyme mad me laugh out loud. Socially distancing turkeys- now that would be a sweet and silly sight to behold. Maybe we could do that to some of the turkeys who are in office in Washington as well.....socially distance them and truss them up so that they have to wear a mask!
Uh oh......
I loved this little ditty.
Great job.

Thanksgiving is a sign of over-stuffed but I like the stuffing more than the meat. We all miss the happy gathering. Yet life has a way of punishing us. The pandemic really destroys our fun gathering. I miss my grand children. Not that I don't miss my children, I miss my grand kids more.

It is great to see your sense of humor here. How wonderful not to commiserate over the situation that we have found ourselves in this year.
We are blessed to be still here.
