Your title is a good question. Your poem gives the danger humans are to themselves ang our world. I think we fight for what we see as freedom but sometimes it is also to show power. The end shows that the only hope for true freedom is found with faith

I loved reading this poem, which is about many things, war being only one of them. I have always felt that human dignity and integrity are our most valuable possessions.

I wonder where these words were when for so many years injustices occurred like fleeting raindrops, hardly noticed, yet when we ourselves are not noticed, when we become secondary for a while in questions , we then see injustices to our very selfish selves, not realising that unless we are central to the universe, then all else matters little...until it does...then we feel small and cry out...how ironic we don't value all...all the time.

Scriptures provide an answer to all of those questions. Gen 2:7 states that God formed Adam from the dust if the ground, breathed into his lungs the breath of life and he became a living person. Gen 11:9 shows that God confused the languages, thereby scattering people all over the world, which changed the way they spoke and eventually, the way they looked. Finally Mt 22:38, 39 illustrates that we must first love God with all our hearts, minds and souls. Secondly that we must love our neighbors as ourselves. Anyone who does not understand this will have a difficult time pleasing God.

I do not believe where we live is by chance. God put us all where He wanted us, but I do feel badly for those who live in countries that seem not to care at all for their people. I would be considered at poverty level here with what I make, but I own a home, a nice car, and have all I need. God takes great care of me. I cannot complain and I still can help others on a reg basis. Well done as always.

You're absolutely right that we can take no credit for any of the blessings we were given from birth (or before). We are all the Lord's and so we should not be fighting so much for earthly freedoms but rejoicing in the spiritual freedom won for us by Christ.
