Great artwork for this. Harboring grudges isn't a good thing. Lovely alliteration with your "T" words. Well placed rhyme with through, true, and you (yourself). Sorry to be late with this, but I've fallen behind in reviewing. judi

Hi Melissa, oh how I wish this was true, but so many people are gullible and accept what they hear then judge without bothering to find out themselves, hate it. Cheers Colin xx

Hi Colin... I am delighted you felt the message of this verse. I strongly feel we should not borrow grudges and examine things for ourselves. :) Thank you very much!

Interesting message in this short write. During this time of news and fake news as well as the onslaught of social media, it's not easy to determine truth. Sometimes we absorb viewpoints unconsciously.
Your words cause me to pause and ponder. Is this what I believe? Or is someone else yanking my chain?
Thanks for sharing your wisdom.
Stay safe
Blessings Julia

A very well-written poem about holding grudges against someone is never useful to anyone. Rather talk about what ever may be wrong and get along with others, despite the differences.

You are so right. If they have a grudge and grind their teeth, smile and wish them well (straight out the door.) We are told to forgive because we can't be forgiven unless we do forgive.

There is a powerful aphorism expressed in your short poem. Shades of Hamlet here - to one's own self be true. It is better to make up one's own mind than to join the bandwagon of dissent. Perhaps a message for our times...

This is very true-quite profound, actually-of so many situations. It is paramount to stay true to yourself without carrying around someone else's opinions or issues and betraying yourself in the process. Very well written!

So true! And I love your illustration of the crows going after a falcon / hawk that may not have even attacked their nests personally. We tend to be defensive for our loved ones. But we should be objective as possible as God loves all.

That's a good point. Why should we carry someone else's baggage? We have enough of our own to deal with. To thine own self be true. My high school motto...
