Thanks for stopping by my poem. I write this at 4 AM where I am. I am up and I don't know why except that it is a great time to think in poetic terms and to converse with poetic friends. My dog will join me around 5. Now, I must ask, Trenton where? Your page says Trenton but I've been through Trenton many times and your picture is not Trenton. Looks more like New Zealand, but there are Trentons there I know of, so maybe Utah. My wife and I just spent a few weeks up that direction in the RV. Left just before serious snow...

Yes, I am in Trenton, utah :)

WE enjoyedthe area. Arches was spectacular. We ran short of time and missed Zion, but we're planning to come back next year. and the Tetons, more time at Salt Lake. We liked that big park. I highly recommend retirement! And the RV life with dogs. America is such a great place to visit! Thanks for confirming. Great picture. There are scenes on the South Island of New Zealand which look like that... I once went there on business.

I am glad you enjoyed Utah, it is indeed a very beautiful state. I also look forward to retirement and some traveling!

I, too, am a morning person who finds much spiritual encouragement in those "moments just before dawn."
I like your subtle use of rhyme in each stanza. Rod

Thanks for stopping by and reading my poem. I like that you liked my moments just before dawn. Actually, I've loved that phrase since I heard in a Mommas and Papas song in the 60s "the darkest hour is just before dawn". It doesn't define my life as much as Mick Jagger's "You Can't Always Get What You Want", bu it stuck with me...

Dear Mystery Poet,
You paint a very cool picture of these mornings enjoying the sunrise all alone and uninterrupted. You sound a lot like my hubby.
I'm not a morning person, really, but once I'm up, I'm up. And I'm going strong - ready to talk and etc. My husband prefers his quiet time in the morning and it took me a little bit to learn to appreciate that. Bless him!
This picture you've drawn for us is quite lovely and soothing. Thanks and good luck!

Robyn, you must have a great hubby and marriage. You have mentioned him in your reviews of my work before. Me and what's her name have been at it for 43 years. At our 35th, I told her I was going to leave her. She didn't ask "why", she asked "when"? I told her that as soon as I found a red-head who owned a liquor store, I was gone. She's been helping me look, just no luck at all. Glad you liked my poem.

I choose laughter over tears. Had I just robbed a bank, I could have been out after 5...
