What a splendid picture that is! Your poem does it justice, too. I can just imagine the rumblings in the owl's stomach. Rodents, beware!
I enjoyed your video clips as well.

Hi Sally,
Congratulations on winning the 5-7-5 contest!
I love the picture you chose to accompany your poem. Look at those big eyes!
An owl is a patient hunter with very keen eyesight. And some of these night birds are huge with monster wings.
It's surprising how many mice are in the woods. They are a great food source for foxes and owls.
Nicely penned! No wonder you won.
Hugs,
Kimbob

What a lovely presentation for the 5-7-5 poetry contest. The poem emphasises the picture and both together are lovely. I love the extra owl videos! I wish you the best of luck in the contest.

This 5-7-5, Winter Feast, has the proper formatting and finds the waking owl in time to snag a couple of breakfast mouse-nuggets on their way to nowhere.

Lovely photo and poem about the cycle of nature. Well written. You have maintained the required syllable structure without forcing it. Well done. Best wishes for the contest.

Nice poem! Despite of the natural scene that involves food and its rawness, picture brings some funny situation of having an owl "dressed" in snow. The additional videos brings more light to the situation described in your poem.

A very well-written 5-7-5 poem about the owl covered in snow just shake off the snow to see his prize waiting for him, a mouse or two is just what he needs.
