Beautiful! Absolutely! AND it so makes me want people to be ABLE to get together this Christmas (a side note!) and I do not think it will happen.
THIS is so full of HOPE, ongoing hope and love that is unselfish and beautiful! PERFECTION!

How sweet! I should have guessed where the roses were coming from. I'm glad Sarah's family made it for Christmas, and she was able to go on with her life.

This was a lovely ending to a very sweet story. The message given is received. Never stop seeking love. The video you included here was so awesome with its scenery and the singing was superb. Thank you for sharing your feelings.

I very much enjoyed this cute Christmaas story. It seems like Christmas again, in my heart. I love the setting, the wins running all over. My heart went bazook, I have twins in the family, 9 years ld, Ashton and Mason, my grandkids...I lost track of what I was writing, those twins!

Oh, I was afraid the man had died, but never guessed it was her husband having the flower sent each year. How sweet! This makes me cry. Well done, a beautiful Christmas story.

Hi Sally,
So the sons (twins Tim & Tom) & daughter-in-laws were the ones who left the red roses each Christmas? I was actually thinking there was a shy secret admirer. But the crew brought the flowers with them. And sure enough, she visited her neighbor, Frank Thompson, with some cookies and gifts.
I especially liked this line,
"It has to be in black and white, doesn't it?" Frank remarked. "I can't really explain why."
Seems to me these were Sarah's words in Part One.
A beautiful sentimental Christmas story, Sally! Well done!
I think the flowers probably kept Sarah's total loneliness at bay during the Christmas season when things would have been especially difficult for the widow. For many people, especially the elderly, the Holiday season is most difficult. They might have 50 years of memories.
Hugs,
Kimbob

A lovely sentimental Christmas story, Sal; the kind of write you do so well because of your own loving nature.

Husbands are protective and do their best to care for those they love. In this case Sarah's husband tried to ease his wife's pain at his passing in a most creative way.

Thanks for sharing.

Stay safe and blessed

Julia

I loved your description of Sarah with her grandchildren! I could just imagine all the loving interactions between you and your grands!
The story is sweet and I'm glad you had a happy ending even though John had passed, Sarah moved on to start a relationship with her neighbor, Frank.

My family turned it's attention on the (its)

I'm a real sucker for happy endings, or even the possibilities of a happy ending around the coming holidays. Sadly, not everyone gets a reason to be happy, and this pandemic isn't helping much. Let's just hope for a miracle! Thanks for sharing.

What a lovely romantic story! John enjoyed his yearly gift of roses as much as the lady did in receiving them. It is good that she took his advice and went looking for love. Well done!
