A very heartfelt and confusion for where you're at, poem. Still searching for the need of another in your life, yet you never seem to give yourself any credit for being there for you.
suggestion for last line in 2nd verse;
I don't know how much more
I can take or own!
gives you the rhyme with zone

I still live with my cat Garfield!
And at this point at age 66 I probably feel that rather not have it any other way!

Boy do I know what you mean. I have a cat 18 yrs and got a puppy 1.5 yrs ago. I am going to lose my cat in the near future, I don't think he's doing that well now, Arthritis in his legs and he's starting to lose control of his bladder. I've had to put out potty pads in the house again. I'm going to miss him dearly, I already do. Your pets can take a huge chunk of your heart and are your little kids. You and your cat, have a cozy holiday season and all the best for you both in 2021.

This was a very interesting read. Have you entered it into a song writers showcase? There are many of them out there and they select sometimes for the stars to put to music. And if you have the music they may use yours. My son has had some of his used. You might want to try it. Thanks for sharing.

I have written some songs for some celebrities but I just don't know how to get them out to them.
I wrote two songs for a Canadian band called,
"Steal the Sky"
I met them I was dancing for their while I was dancing in Atlantic City.
At the Hotel and Casino Hard Rock. I do have their contact.information though.
