June, I really like this 5-7-5 as part of the book. It is very descriptive and even without the photo, I can see a mental picture of the sun painting over the clouds.

I rarely see a sunrise but I have seen it on board ships and it lights up the world with colour as you say here, love the artwork too as you add another gem to this renga book June, a magical write, love Dolly x

IMHO darkness is not portrayed in the illustration.

I love watching a new day take shape. At first, all images are dark. Then little by little, colors and images appear. Your words "sun paints over darkness" expresses that phenomenon perfectly. Because of the colors, the world does come alive.
Each word pulls its weight in this short chapter. Well done.
