As a non-golfer it is hard for me to appreciate the courses. But there is a lot of Irish in my DNA and there has always been something enchanting about the Emerald Isle, and it was one of my parents' favorite "trips." Did you see any leprechauns or banshees?
However, I did ski at Portillo in Chile. I had to rent boots and skis that didn't fit, so it wasn't my prettiest skiing, but I did ski there. My husband has skied all over Europe, New England, and the U.S. and Canadian Rockies. (Some heli-skiing.) But he hasn't skied the Andes! I beat him on that one.

You have selected a lovely piece of artwork to go along with your poem. Your piece flows well, and tells of your love of golf. I especially liked how you compared golf to a woman.

I am 72. You are the first person I can remember ever referring to a picture of me as "artwork". Thank you! For any man who is married, and also loves to play golf, either golf courses or women could be a metaphor of the other. My research includes 40 years of golf and 43 of marriage. Glad you enjoyed it. I always recommend both golf and Ireland and a combo of the two!

I thought this was great. I don't know if your first quote is original comparing a golf course to a women - but that was terrific. The poem was great. It shows the love of golf and also the frustration. Great job.

It was my original quote, but others have likely said the same. After all, men who are married, and also love golf, understand that either is metaphor for the other. Thanks for playing through!

Dear Mystery Golfer,
*smile* I have never heard a beautiful woman compared to a golf course before... a summer day, yes... a green? No.
But I can surely see it. I have heard enough golf stories and watched enough Sunday golf with my hubby to understand a little of that provocative and elusive female and her wily ways.
-->Mistakes, to hide from (him) what is his,
Thanks and good luck!

I've been married to the same mean woman for 43 years. No matter how badly she treats me, I've kept coming home. I don't know why, but, golf does indeed reflect MY real life. Thanks for your nice review.
