Oooh! I like your personification of winter and how she is a "fisher of souls," who "weaves her luring spell." And I think she's doing her spells already here because it's in the 30's. Brrr! Great job with your 7-7.

A very well-written couplet in addition to the multi-author Renga book. Human can try to derail God's plan and the cycle of a human life but at the end God has the last say and He fulfill His word.

I'm that odd poet out... I always think I want to jump in...but by the time I come up with what I think might be a decent entry, someone else has taken that slot and I'm left with a 5-7-5 when it's time for a 7-7! That's okay...it's sort of how I dance too...always out of time and rhythm! LOL---YOUR entry is great!--Karenina
