This well written free verse is a good way to fight all the violence and killing as of late. It uses opposites to show how we must be accepitng of differences in each other to create a peaceful world.

The willingness to see another person's viewpoint does not negate your own. It takes balance to maintain peace. The world has become imbalanced and it is up to us as individuals to take personal responsibility not to overreact. Be less offensive and more defensive - of plant animal and human rights.

With so much evil and thoughtless cruelty in the world it is refreshing to read the words of a fellow poet whose goal is to aim for harmony over discord, unity over division, and inclusion over exclusion.

You written an excellent list of ideas to consider.
I like many of your descriptions, like:
"Conclusions reached with black and white thinking..."
"A good idea gone terribly wrong was yesterday's song"
and especially the last part:
"Make a difference--
take care of your sisters and brothers
in spite of the history that blocks compassion;
let love be in fashion once again---"
I would move "in the end" to the front of the line
not only be a lover, but also a friend
[In the end,] you will recover all the time you spend
Well done.
