I was browsing and came across this. Beautiful 5-7-5. The image is lovely, too. Excellent imagery with luna singing her sultry song. I remember Frank Sinatra's rendition of 'Fly Me to the Moon." You also allude to the classic "Moonlight Sonata." This is smoothly crafted with alliteration included--sultry song. judi

Excellent, clever name for your singer, and who doesn't love ' Fly Me To The Moon.' Beautiful pic too. Well Done.
I have only recently got into the 5 7 5's , find them challenging but fun to do.

Valerie,
Thanks for your like for my typical poem style, 5-7-5. Longer verses are not within my poetry bailiwick, nor reviews of the same. Pleased you liked the artwork. I favor FanArt to accompany all my FS posts..

Ciao poet,
gave you your 9th vote ..
I m not a great fan of Sinatra and his crooning but this is one exception ( I did it my way also)
I always keep an eye on full moons .. for the second time this month we will have one .. for such an unusual event the moon is called Blue Moon .
The moon is a silent witness of many lovers smooching under her light
I think it's a brilliant idea to have her sing this love song ..
Choosing the word Luna to avoid writing twice the word moon was a smart move and in all honesty ( at least for me) adds to the poetry.
Buzz played this song ( his favourite tune ) when he touched the moon surfaced in 1969 ( biggrin)

Tempeste,
The voting is tight. It looks that I will earn only a silver medal for my contest entry. Pleased you liked my songstress?s name.
una volta ogni morte di papa
The blue moon in this October is significant because it coincides with our Halloween.

I prefer the blue ribbon cause I love silver .. glad your poem did well ..
you win the podium more than : just once in a Blue Moon
( nice surprise.... have you ever studied Italian?)
Significant ?? With the full moon there will be more witches on their broom sticks .. ( biggrin)

Tempeste,
Second place is still good in my mind. I never studied Italian, but my Brazilian born wife does. It came in handy when we visited Italy together - she was our translator!

Your nature poem is cleverly written and I enjoyed reading it. It flows well with imagination and your artwork choice goes well with your message. Best wishes!

Yvette,
Thanks, as always, for your review of my 5-7-5 style. Can you provide me the steps to add a video and audio clip to this or future posts? The link gets you there, but I have seen others at FS where you could instantly connect.
Thanks for your good wishes in the contest voting.

Elegant and whimsical--unusual combo--esp. in a 5/7/5--this works on two levels--lovely imagery and delightful wit re the Luna aka moon singing about herself!

Hi EE!
So pleased you stopped by to review my moon serenade. Luna has a monthly gig in her full regalia. In this month, she will appear twice: the second time on Halloween.
Your generous comments are greatly appreciated.

I like Christian heavy metal and rock, to many of my friends horror, but I really like a lot of Franks songs too. Fly me to the Moon is one. Well done. Hope you do well in the contest.

Thanks Roxanne for your generous comments and contest wishes for my moon serenade poem. I am more into the 1960s sound and folk. Hard rock was listened too, but not my favorite genre.
