A very nice verse with excellent rhyming and perfect meter. I enjoyed the flights of fancy as you shared the magic of pixie dust with us. A wonderful presentation and a strong contender in the contest, Yvette. :)

Hello dear Yvette!
What an awesome treat you found in your back yard! With your
ever magical and mystical foray of flourish and adventure of a merry meeting of sweet sentimental fairies, gaily gathered around such a
perfectly aligned 'fairy ring', who can help and not sentimentally sigh
and envision such an omniously precious scene and enchantment?
Your last phrase sums up the entire escapade and enveloping
magical rhapsody ever so perfectly and intriguingly! A sheer
joy to read dear! Thanks for sharing, perfect spirit tonic indeed!
Love, blessings, always Ronni
PS Edging back again....too much to divest, best for another place
or time...am fine and doing well helath wise...some changes in
schedule, but working on smoothing it out more. Dearly missed
you are dear friend!! Hope all is well your way...and taking care
of you too!

Now I see from whom you get your ideas from... Magic mushrooms and tiny people singing happily in your back yard, Yvette. :) The fairy queen has chosen you to write for them. This is a good offering for the Rhyming Poem contest. Do well by them and good luck on the contest.

Love this poem, being Irish I love all things fairy and mythical.
I can definitely learn a lot from your rhyme and meter.
I can see how to do it right.
I'm still learning, I see how every other line rhymes.
The picture is amazing I've never seen anything like that before, very exciting

The mystery and magic of nature seems to come alive in this romantic poem. You had a great lighthearted lilt to the language here, and these images of the playful pixies and faeries conjuring up those mushroom rings on your lawn were colorful and almost surreal, dreamlike. This seems to come from that classic Irish sense of the Faery people and their wild spirits that imbue nature. Have you ever read Yeats' A Faery Song? This would be right up your alley. estory

This is a great poem and story about fairy rings! I didn't know about the toadstools in a circle being considered a place where fairies meet, but I can totally picture it now that you've written a poem about it. Your poem flows well with descriptive words that entertain the mind and heighten the senses
Thanks for sharing!
Sue

Vette,

Hello, buddy. This was a lot of fun. I wonder if the scientific world tries to explain the creation/origin of these merry happy circles? They definitely inspire wonderful delightful ideas and provoke imaginations to work overtime.

This was a great poem for the contest. Thanks and good luck!

P.S. Second Thursday of the month sound good to you.... ??? My calendar's ready and waiting... :) ;) :)
reply by robyn corum on 24-Oct-2020
Absolutely! Oh, but wait -- I have an appointment on the second Thursday in November. Ugh. Maybe we can do the Third Thursday? Of course, that will be the 19th - do you think that's too close to Thanksgiving?

My appointment is actually with the pain clinic right down the road - but it's at 9:40 am. So we could try to work around that as an option, too. Let me know --btw, I've been told to make sure you read the comments on the poem about our meeting.
