A bittersweet rendering of the wishes we poets all hold - to be remembered through our writing. The imagery of the graveyard was lovely and yes, filled with memories. But to be remembered through our poems would be such a gift to be able to bestow through the generations. - Wendy

A beautifully written heart-warming poem with a message for one and all. Tes. We should leave a good legacy behind us when the time comes for us to leave. The rhythm and the flow are in sync. Thanks for sharing!

This lovely, moving poem expresses a sentiment I'm sure all can relate to.
We want to be remembered fondly for our poetry, the vehicles through which we revealed who we are.

A Very well-written heartfelt poem about knowing our time is running out in this world and we will soon meet again with the ones who went before us, and we should leave something behind for other to remember us by.

To be remembered is a form of immortality. And to be remembered for our poetry is especially gratifying- as it adds dimension to our existence. More than just a name of engraved upon a stone - our poems are our soul.

That was a lovely poem. Each of us would love to live the legacy behind that they will be remembered by. Enjoyed your creative imagery and visuals.
I like the spirituality of this stanza:
Our earthly days are numbered here.
Hold each you have as very dear.
Just live your life, while still alive,
in memory, you will survive.
A wonderful work.

You are so completely right. To have loved and been loved and be remembered when time takes us away. You write with so much wisdom, but not preachy, very subtle with powerful imagery not to be confused by any other. I always enjoy reading your work and retaining the messages.

It's a bit scary to walk through the cemetery and recognize so many of the names. We're all only here on a short trip before it comes time to go to the great beyond. Nice poem!
