TFAWCUS,
This is your second work that has caught my attention and I enjoyed both.
Here you give your reader the vision and feeling of peace that the night brings and that the dawn brings a new beginning.
Very well done. There is no head scratching to figure out your message as it is clear and beautifully done.

Beautifully written! The rhyme is splendid, the rhythm perfect.
A very moving and wonderful place to be to pass through gates of dawn as if reborn. Good luck with the contest.

Well you certainly did an excellent job of writing a rhyming poem for the rhyming contest! I love this line: "It holds me in its hallowed palm.
The air is calm," Wishing you well in the contest.

There is a light feel and flow to your words. "Through mists a mystic presence flows" is a delicious use of words. I like the smooth flow of the letter "M" words and a spiritual feel comes through clearly here. Mist does appear as if it is alive with a presence.

To feel this kind of serenity is priceless. And there is certainly something very special about the early morning when things start coming to life. We are imbued with fresh energy and look forward to the challenges of the new day...beyond the gates.

I enjoyed reading your contest entry. Nothing is more beautiful than a sun set. Texas does a great job of that. You did a wonderful job writing this poem about it. Thank you for sharing and good luck.

The natural cycle of sunrise to sunset is represented here...along with the changing emotions involved and the poet's personal response to calming influences bringing relief from moments of alarm. I enjoyed reading it very much, Tony. :-) Janet
