Hi Sandra,
love this charming little verse about the true meaning of Christmas. I like the way you've let the children tell the story rather than the angel, so when children read the poem they don't feel like they are being preached to.
Lovely rhythm as always, and sounds even better when read out loud!
Regards, Barb

Thank you, Barb, I thought this one had better be done with 'human children' instead of my Hedgerow friends, it might not have been 'believable' to children otherwise, and children are very sharp on things like that!! I am so pleased you liked it, and thank you so very much for the 6 stars, that is so kind of you, thank you! xsx Sandra

Nice alliteration in "Sad Santa";
I've read many wonderful fairy poems recently, and your writing is no exception;
I like the Christmas story told through the eyes of children, and the fairies mystical presence is an extra pleasure to read about

I like how you managed to fit in Jesus, Santa and fairies. I think children should be able to have Santa but that Jesus is the "reason for the season". So, it was a nice approach to have them work in cooperation. I liked your aa,bb rhyming pattern, it worked throughout the poem. I think this is a great childrens poem (and adults could stand to hear it too!)

My thoughts precicely. Christmas has been taken over by presents and cards and the real meaning is being lost. I am so pleased you enjoyed it, and thank you for your lovely review. xsx Sandra

Oh, what a great lesson! Of course, it's all about Jesus' birthday. A wonderful reminder of "It's the reason for the season." Thank you!

I loved this poem. When I read the title, I couldn't imagine a "Sad Santa" poem turning out right. But of course you did it. The last 2 stanzas said it all. Lovely artwork, perfect rhyme. Great message. Very nicely done.

This is an excellent poem and I liked the story it had to tell. Naturally your rhyming is perfect as always. BRILLIANT! I would change the title to something which sounds more positive though...?

Thank you so much, CG, for your great review. The titles of everything I write, always come to me first, then I can work to it. Sad Santa came to me when I was looking through FanArt and saw a sorry looking picture of Santa. I couldn't use the picture as it had his reindeer beside him drunk and disorderly!!
I am pleased you enjoyed it, thank you for your great review!! xsx Sandra.

You are so right girl. The little ones have to know and if they are read this poem they will know. Beautiful for kids to understand.
The happy little fairy smiled,
And went and kissed each joyful child.
"When I tell Santa, he'll be so glad,
And we'll be happy he's not sad!"
