Cowboy Up is a great phrase for all the good things... integrity, honesty, work ethics, adventure, enthusiasm, and love of the western life.
I love this poem.
Well done.

Though I've never heard of the expression, I understand what it means. Since my father was in the Army, our saying was 'soldier through' :)

These lines say it all: It's a spirit tried and true;
like a guardian angel, it'll see you through.
So when you're down and things look rough;
Look deep within yourself, and.

"Cowboy up"

Well done!

Well now that's great poetry. I'm originally from Atlanta, Georgia, where we had a term called 'Man Up'. This reminds me of the term. A man has to be a man--which ain't as easy as most think.
Good Job.

I enjoyed reading Cowboy up Deepwater, there are a lot of truths in your poem, and we have all encountered them in some way or other throughout or lives, I'm one who always TRIED to cowboy up and I know, it ain't easy sometimes. A thoroughly enjoyable read, well done!

Well "Cowboy up" I liked this. it was written well, had a nice flow and rhythm. I liked the way you explained something I have seen most of my life, it's sort of like Git-R-Done! Well done!

This is marvelous. I love the beat and the theme. The perseverance of the cowboy comes through and he never quits. "It's having nothing and having it all" is a great line. I also like the line "Cowboy Up".

Wow ! Are you a cowboy? I am sure you are or you deeply know them, Perhaps this one is my favorite of your cowboy period, I truly can feel their life and inner soul. Excellent.

It's what makes a cowboy tell it straight;
its being in pain, and calling your gate.
It's having nothing, yet having it all;
it's brushing off the dust and knowing how to fall

I love cowboy poetry. Ever read Baxter Black? He is good. You did this poem a great justice and how it really is with cowboys. Great poem and keep on writing them.

It also means don't whine about all that's wrong. Take you bumps and bruises and be better for it at the end of the day. Great job.
