This reminds me of what my mother wrote in my 6th grade autograph book. "May God grant you all the joy you deserve and only enough sorrow to show you the difference." Thanks, Roy, for sharing this with us all.

Like I always say, it doesn't cost anything to be kind and make someone's day-what has happened to the world? Nice message and excellent rhyming. The politicians are adding fat to the fire by their divisive politics. Faye

Good morning, Roy:
WELCOME BACK!
So pleased to see your poem, (Life is paved with trepidation). Great title and great photo to go along with it. I had better check for author's notes before I read it... So glad I did. Happy to see the three Bible Verses you included for viewers. I know Luke 10:27 by heart. "You shall love The Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbour as yourself." I say it to Father God every morning upon arising, and every night before going to bed. It is very comforting to start my day off with and to take to bed with me at night. Thank your for including them.

Your poem to me, reveals God's Almighty Truth and Wisdom (and supreme advice) from beginning to end. I think your stanza...
"They've disappeared those golden words,
to honour people seems absurd.
Why do we think new wisdoms reign?
can thoughts of self, the dark restrain? "
I believe is of significance to all of us who live in this dark world we have brought upon ourselves through ignorance, avarice and sin.
Thank your for sharing it.
God Bless You and Yours,
Nan:))

If life was just the way we wanted it to be all the time, there would be nothing to thank God for to ask for any more. I like the picture you chose as well.

Hi, Roy...
_ Great words to live by---treating others as you would have them treat you.
_ In the workplace, especially, it doesn't take long to see one's true colors---sadly---not always for the better.
_ More hurtful, of course, are the one's closest that can do the most damage to our spirit---can't always be put back together.
_ All one can do is lift it to the Lord and know, thy will be done.
_ Excellent write, my friend.
Cheers & Blessings

Excellent. I am always mindful of the lesson taught in the parable of the Good Samaritan. Every man is my neighbor and I am obliged to love him despite how he treats me. If I do this any blame will fall on him not me. If you show true agape love for all people, you will never be tainted by the curse of hatred.

Noble thoughts lead to noble actions. Well said, brother! Galatians 6:10:King James Version: As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

The bible says put others first;
Lord Jesus one, then you'll not thirst.
With kindness, goodness bless all folk,
then in joy's well-spring you will soak.
If only, Roy ... if only.
A little more kindness in this world would go a long way.
a lovely poem.
but from it's ransom I've been saved. - its

This is a well written positive poetic voice. It flows well within its thoughts and was an easy poem to read and understand. We all need compassion in our hearts. It makes this world we live in a better place... John

There are so many poems we could write just by reading a few pages of the Bible. So many wise and passages that are true today as they were when they were first written. Your poem goes to prove that fact perfectly. This is another of your profound poems that hit home really well. Excellent, Roy. xsx Sandra
