quaint ,perfect AABB rhyme no proximate or ABCB rhyme..... pleasantly surprised lol
this childrens poem book will need culling soon and finalised! so many to put in it do it as a picture poem bokk obviously set it out in "indesign" which allows you to move the text or change the font at will do it as a PDF file on a 16 gig flash stick take it to a printer and bobs your uncle and save losing 90 percent of your profit

indesign, thanks for the tip - I will have to look into it - I assume you've used it yourself? Thanks so much, Dip :-) Brooke

you always learn from your mistakes when you self publish I actually set mine out in photoshop but that did not allow for my text to be flexible to be repositioned on the image and indesign would have solved this and the programmme, once you have used it is easier. self publishing isn't rocket science and the publishing companies want 90% of your cut meaning you only get 10 %
once you have masterd the set up settig it up for the printers as a PDF file is a walk in the park..think of how many $52 subscriptions for fanstory youi could save by self publishing? lol

I have made great friends at fan story. You don't get that side benefit from publishing. I see them as complementary activities :-)

Hi Brooke, this is such a cute poem, a lovely colorful insect to see in our gardens. Kids love them, my grandchildren painted stones to look like them. You have a talent for writing these great poems.
Well done.

You must have used all of the good 'ots' endings in making your poem about spots and dots. It's wonderfully inventive in the use of wordplay, imagination and imagery of the natural world. Another rhythmically satisfying poem from your file of wonderful ideas, Brooke.

Hi Brooke:)
I never cease to be amazed at the way you can contruct a nifty poem from everyday objects like a ladybug. I can't rememer a time in my life when I didn't know the name of this colorful insect, but I never thought of rhyming the dots of hershell with the spots that she visited.
This is a nice children's poem with repeating line that provide a pleasant cadence. Love and Irish Hugs for one more pleasure.

Your writing has changed and your real talent is starting to show in leaps and bounds. I loved your bugger of a poem - ladybugs are great in the garden, they eat aphids that destroy plants. By the time I had finished reading your lovely quatrains I was feeling dotty! Well done Mrs Bug. Wish I had six stars for you - I don't, and so - ****** six virtual stars will have to do.

What an enchanting tale of this beautiful little mystifying creature. All children become captivated by this tiny spotted bug at least once growing up. I love your style of writing and I really love how it is not written in a baby sense. The wording is a bit challenging for a young child, but that's great. This is a great poem. Best of luck!

I love ladybugs. Some people say if one lands on you it is a sign of good luck. Out on our small holding, there are lots of them. This is very well written.

Here we have an insect personified by her name, and by the very adventurous nature described in your delightful poem, but lest we forget - it's a BUG. (LOL) Remember, we had this conversation before - I was told they BITE. LOL. I'VE never been bitten by this cute insect, and I used to play with them when I was a kid...but then, it's poems like this one that made me feel it was safe enough, I guess...
As always, such a joy to read - "this ladybug of several dots"! :)))
