Loved how you wrote this musical tribute to Zoe! You should have entered your own contest, Terry. And how marvelous that you remember all those concerts (How brave of you, too! So many people in the audience!!)
Kudos to you for knowing the real meaning of Don McLean's song - it really was for Buddy Holly, not JFK like some DJ interpreted.
The music you and Zoe embraced together will never die and I hope each time you hear those songs, it will bring those happy memories back. Appreciate you sharing!

What a story! Music was so important and meaningful to both of you and the memories you have are very special and intrinsically linked with music. You final song is very poignant.
Well written, Terry.

This is a delightful story that makes the reader feel good. I like all the music you mentioned and your story is a history of music in addition to being your history with Zoe. These are wonderful memories. How wonderful to see Willy Nelson, Simon and Garfunkel and others in concert. Your writing reflects the beauty of memories. My first car was a Ford Pinto.

I am glad that you and Zoe shared music together. She must've been one heck of a musicalist to share so many different styles of music with you. I had a feeling you had retired from active writing since you haven't posted anything in quite a while. I hope you are doing well and will forgive all my transgressions in the past for some of the things I have said in your reviews.
I share this love of music and am glad you had the time of your lives while Zoe was still alive!
Have a lovely life!

Thank you for sharing this interesting story about how music played such a big part in your life with Zoe. Very well written and covers a lot of musical territory.

I was glad to see your name on the site welcome page. This story represents a beautiful trip down a musical memory lane, with lots of concerts and many, many songs. Your story took an unfortunate turn at the end, but the memories linger on. Thanks for reminding us of Zoe's beauty.

You and Zoe liked a wide variety of music. I like most of the songs you mention except the later ones with titles that sound as though they might be depressing. I'm sorry you lost the love of your life. She sounds like she was an amazing woman. I can't imagine why you've quite writing. I would think it would be a part of you that you'd not want to let go of. You've proved you are still an excellent writer with this one.

Terry,
I was getting so into your post detailing how you two met, your love for music all the concerts and travel you did together. Then cam the hammer and it totally changed my mood, I had to go back and reread the good.
I am sorry to hear of your loss. My condolences.
John

That was a delightful piece and a wonderful nostalgic walk down memory lane...It wove the overall journey and the individual ones nicely.
You have one typo...It's Janis Joplin not Janet.
I'm guessing autocorrect decided otherwise.
My condolences on your loss.
