Very good, indeed. I knew that these would turn out to be quite funny and entertaining and yours is no exception. Excellent choice to defend Sylvester. Made perfect sense. Besides, even humans eat birds!

Good stuff. I hope the writing muse smiles great fortune upon you in the contest!

Thank you. I almost went with Tom in Tom and Jerry. I chose Sylvester instead because this was one of my favorite cartoons.

I agree completely! This was a fun, amusing story about cats doing what cats do. It's programmed in, and they just can't help it. We were always worried that our cat would go after our two guinea pigs when we had them, but fortunately she never did. I think if they'd been any smaller, she may have. Well-written and a good job!

Thank you. When I was a kid we had a cat named George Thomas Tiger who was best friends with our parakeet, Billy. Strange things happen sometimes.

It sounds like you are an avid cartoon lover and know how cats behave on screen which is no different to real life as cats love chasing a mouse, a fun post, love Dolly x

Thank you. Yep, cats will be cats. It's the nature of the critters.

Oh, I am so glad you chose to defend Sylvester, the cat. Plus, you brought a smile to my face as I thought of the joy Loony Tunes brought when I was a child. There were times I felt sorry for Sylvester and wanted him to catch Tweety and let him go, of course. I feel Sylvester has finally gotten his just due as a result of this post. Thank you, and best wishes in the contest.

For sure. I became quite annoyed with Tweety Bird. Poor Sylvester was just being himself. I didn't realize the bird was a Christmas gift. Must have missed that episode. Ttthat's All Folks! Ha

Thank you. I saw an old episode on Google where it showed Granny receiving Tweety as a Christmas present.

Hmmm, you sound like a court appointed lawyer. In defense of Sly, I always did like BBQ chicken.

PS.
I had a friend that had a golden lab, a black cat, and a cockatiel, and they all walked around on the floor, together without any incident. I was always amazed to see that.

You are so right! I always thought that little feathered critter taunted Sylvester just to get him in trouble with Granny. That poor cat just never could win regardless of what he did. Three cheers for Sylvester!

You've made an excellent point here. Sylvester is not evil; he is just a cat, and that's what cats do. I had a dog who ate birds, too. It's an animal thing. Thanks for sharing this here, and best wishes to you.

Thank you. A cat is a cat and will do what cats do. I'm glad you enjoyed the story.
