Thank you, I have made the correction. LOL I appreciate the help. I usually read what it's supposed to say not what it actually says.

I read right through my mistakes, too. Reading what I want it to say. I'm just glad teachers do it too, It means I might be normal, to a degree. LOL!

You are extremely normal. My first graders catch my mistakes all the time. I praise them for it. They need to know mistakes are okay and you learn from them.

You just gained my respect as a teacher. Last week I read about Vanderbilt University's study that found twice as many young people are hurting themselves and committing suicide than did in their 2005 study. When will we finally figure out that everyone can't be the best or the prettiest, or sometimes, even good at something. We are finally seeing the results of constant competition pushed upon our children to overachieve. The pressures come soon enough, so why can't we just let them be kids. I went to a funeral last Thursday for a 16 year old who was found hung in his closet. Barely a year ago, his 18 year-old brother blew his head off with a shotgun. Wonderful young men. The daughter of five, found the hanging boy and is possibly scared for life. The mother gets to spend the rest of her life with the what ifs, and blaming herself. Four children who played sports for me, died last year of heroine overdoses, and I promised their parents problems later, if they didn't let up. It's time we accept mediocrity when we realize it's all they can give. We need more teachers who get it. Thanks for understanding! :-)

All I hear in the education field, the supposed people in the know, who I honestly feel never met a child, tell us that we need to increase the rigor, but at what cost. The cost of children being allowed to be children.
