I can releate to this one, adewpearl! I have just spent a week with my nieces and they are all screaming out 'clarity' in this very mixed up world with so many things at their disposal. Anyway, once again, a very clear, well written poem that sees Sawyer pondering life through young eyes. Marion

If this isn't true, I don't know what is. You have said a mouthful here--and it is true about our human condition, as they say. When we're kids, things seem to be black or white, because people tell us what is what. When we start thinking for ourselves things get all blurry. Your well written poem is especially apt for our present troubled times. Who knows what to think, anymore? Good, thoughtful piece.

How interesting because that is one quality I pray for but acknowledge the lack and difficulty of obtaining it. I love the way your poems seem to so carelessly live on the page--all the time tackling big questions and subject matter. You are truly astonishing.

An introspective piece and a serious looking Sawyer to go with it.
Excellent end rhymes in your abcb scheme. Good use of the colors as metaphors for clarity and confusion.

Dear Brooke,
I enjoyed your musings on clarity. Perhaps, as knowledge ncreases, sharp distinctions sort of melt away. Perhaps that's not a lack, but the actual state of things. Another very nice write--Ted

A very thought provoking piece. I think it states a lot of truth that becomes a part of any thoughtful mind at an early age. Then we seek it I suppose forever. Really smooth flow in this one. The message pops out so easily. mikey

Very nice, Brooke. Guess we all have those unanswered questions, huh? Love the picture of Sawyer. He looks like he is indeed contemplating. Wonder what? :>D Miss Sally

Hello adewpearl, Brooke, Silky rhyming and thought-provoking. Clarity is wonderful. However, when our eyes finally see clearly, we don't always like what we see, but we finally have clarity and answers. Of special note:
The clarity of black and white -
elusive at its best -
no longer pays me visits,
my questions unaddressed.
(And with clarity, honesty reigns.)
very good and thought-provoking. Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer

There are so many questions in our life that is better left unanswered for reasons we will discover, perhaps, in God's time. I like this contemplative quatrains... it helps me meditate too... Nice job and God bless... c", Mae
