I don't blame you for being proud. And as you've probably noticed, I'm very non boastful of my tribe, they are cute too, oh what a bonus. I was watching a Junior genius show last night, loved watching the proud parents and their genius young charges. Well done, congrats to your sweet, uniquely talented boy, blessings, Roy

Parents (and grandparents!) just can't help themselves... and isn't that just an AWESOME aspect of humanity!! ;) :) Thanx so much for your wonderful comments, Roy - he is an angel and (still!) my most 'challenging' child -- but I love him to the moon! :) Take care! ;) Yvette

Please forgive my 'running behind' again and 'short response'... as mid-terms close in, my tutoring schedule has ballooned and my 'free time' has all but vanished! Exams are next week so there is a light at the end of the tunnel - LOL! :) A very Merry Christmas to you from my little corner of the world!! ;) Yvette

He certainly is handsome and very talented as well. It's okay for mothers to be proud of their sons. Mine are musically inclined, too, and won college scholarships. I can truly relate to your feeling of pride. it's good he still plays even though other interests popped up. I hope you recorded some of those songs from that sweet voice.

A great son any mom would be proud of. Just as well that he didn't pursue it. The music business is hard to break into. He is so cute! He has looks
and talent!

Wow Yvette this is a great story and one I think should do well in the contest. Your son looks so handsome in his gear for that show, and what a talent at five playing the piano! Just a great story with great detail. I wish you the best

This was truly amazing Yvette. Oh, good luck in the contest. Benjamin did super well, as you did with your story. Even though he drifted away from his musical career, I think he knew in his heart that music did not pay the bills, even the 'stars' of today put in mega hours, have no privacy and travel endlessly. Not a dream of every mother. This was wonderful and I am so glad you gave him that nudge.

Thanx so much for your wonderful comments, Alie - he is an angel and (still!) my most 'challenging' child -- but I love him to the moon! :) Yes, I was a stage mom for my Ben, but I always steered hard toward the concrete...and eventually he found electrical science projects (starting in 7th grade) and that was all she wrote!! ;) :)

This true story, A Tiny Bit Talented, presents a mother's dream. We love our kids to be the best at whatever they do, and it seems like Benjamin is the epitome of that hope. God bless us, everyone.

This meets the contest requirements splendidly as you deliver a complete and thoroughly engaging true story. It's a delightful memory to share as all parents beam with pride when their child shows signs of gifted accomplishment at such an early age. Good luck in the judging and thank you very much for sharing it.

Oh, what a great story, and a wonderful picture of your prodigy. He can certainly put his singing and piano skills to use even if he makes electrical engineering his career. How amazing that he played Tiny Tim at such a young age. You do a beautiful job telling the story, and this will make an excellent showing in the contest. Best of luck. judi

You're welcome and what a wonderful story. No matter what career he pursues, he can always draw on his singing to entertain others. judi
