And isn't it grand that God has our names written on his palm. Wow - what a thought. We need to turn to Him daily, ask forgiveness, count on his mercy. What a great God. Thanks for this good reminder. I enjoyed your poem.

Beautiful confession of the heart! Its genuine, sincere and moving. The words are powerful and true! The third stanza especially speaks of life choices that determine our freedom... or bondage.

Dear Mystery Poet,
I enjoyed reading your sonnet today. Lovely iambic pentameter. I keep stumbling on the word, "quandaries" but when I go back and pronounce it, "quan'dries" it works fine. I just have to remind myself to do that though. I like your rhymes, they are good and sound to me. Nice to see you have a good turn in the third stanza. Good closing couplet.
I think this is a fine entry and I wish you well in the contest.

Thank you Joy for your most understanding review. "Quandaries" is a funny one that can have 2 or 3 syllable count depending on how you say it.

Very beautiful thought. Letting go of the worries and letting Him sooth your pain. We could all use a bit more of that! Good luck in the sonnet prompt.

A sonnet of faith is not something I see everyday. Kudos to you for thinking outside the box of the traditional moon and spoon and June romance theme. Love for God and Love of God is a powerful thing! I don't think I could get through life without it... Karenina

That is a lovely sonnet and the words are what many of us could be saying. We are not perfect, and God knows that. He has said He will forgive, we just have to ask. Well done, this is a lovely contest entry. Good luck! :) Sandra xx

A very well-written Sonnet. We live our lives on earth the best we can and search for peace and freedom, but we cannot find it until we find ourselves in the arms of God.
