This is an amazing poem about our time and our nation that is very divided, polarized and has rampant violence. We need to behave peacefully on an individual bases. I think people are misinformed via many sources of social media.

Well done.

This is well done poem about a big problem facing this country but also the world. There does seem to be plenty of hate to go around. We don't need to make any more. The problem is we can't make any less. Good Job.

This is a pretty sad poem nomi. Reading your words was a lot like watching the news... not very encouraging. However, I still believe there's hope for our land and our people. The good that is done all around us rarely makes the news but it still makes a difference and we can all do something good for someone every day. Your poem inspires me to pray more for my country and its misguided leaders. Thank you for that. You have written an intelligent poem of troubling thoughts but using excellent word choices and rhymes.

A poem expressing protest, objection and disapproval to ceeeeertain disturbing traits in our society. Words flow well. The angush is felt. We should never be afraid of speaking the truth as loudly as possible. Thank you for sharing a very well written powerful poem.

I know I have said this before of your work but when I read it aloud I find myself sounding like I am imitating a rap artist. It is not something I do consciously, the lyric drives me into it - and there is nothing whatever wrong with that. you are protesting after all.

Oh my God. Please do not let my children and grand children ever hear this. Not that there is anything wrong with what you say, but they would be mortified to think of their father and grandfather rapping. LOL.

Nomi,
I agree that hatred and greed are the biggest human problems we face. If we get rid of both maybe the rest of the problems with abate too. I like the artwork that illustrates with well rhymes and smoothly metered poem.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

-Very nice artwork
and presentation, nomi.
-Your notes and poem
are appreciated.
-You do a good job of
pointing out some of the
wrong doing and misguided
attitudes in today's society.
-I agree that a certain segment
appeals to fear and hate because
they know they have a guaranteed
audience that will follow blindly.
-But I also believe there are many
who do not, and do the best
they can to life as good a life as they can.
-Thanks for sharing.

And thank God for those who do reject fear and hate, otherwise our world would be truly doomed. Thank you for your review comments.

You are very welcome, and it is a blessing for those who reject the fear and hate. A lot has to do with the news media feeding on it, too.

Your words are disturbing but are definitely true. Our world is falling down around our knees. From the top of the chain to the last link is filled with hate and prejudice. It makes me so sad and scared at the same time. It's a trickle -down effect beginning with our so-called President down to the looters and those who think it's their right to declare war on the police. The very ones that protect us. I'm sure God isn't happy with what He sees. Either He gives us enough rope and we hang ourselves or come back and start over again. Your poem brings strong meaning. Thank you for sharing,
Patty

Thank you Patty. One of the lines in the poem seem to criticize the police. It was never my intention to condemn the men and women who wear the uniform of policeman with pride and honor. I do however criticize those who use their badge and uniform to carry out acts of prejudice under the guise of law and order.
