Great poem that definitely brings forth the elements of Christmas! When I got to this line, I chuckled out loud: "mom busy spiking dad's eggnog," It made me think of various reasons she might do that!

So very well stated, we must cling to the true 'REASON FOR THE SEASON" year round. During eons past the desert fathers and mothers survived far more harrowing tests, I think we can use this test of faith to deepen our faith resolve and all will be well!
