Hello Janet, this is a lovely, well written poem with good rhyme in abcb form and rhythm maintained throughout. The subject, a rural idyll, is one of my favourite subjects. You have given an idyllic example in this lovely work. Nice to see you on FS - I rarely am on the site at the moment - busy with painting and pushed for time. But I like to pop in and keep in touch. So true that joy comes in the morning. When I was a kid and I'd be worried about something my mother used to tell me that Psalm, She also used to tell me that this too shall pass. Your poem is beautiful with very descriptive wording to help one see what you are seeing. The picture you chose enhances the poem greatly.

Joy does come in the morning. Love the verse about the eagle, it shows the beauty of nature and the healing we feel when we observe the beauty of nature. Excellent use of words and a smooth flow of lines. Your theme is positive and reminds the reader to begin each day anew.

I agree. With each new day, there is another chance to experience God's beauty and renewal from the night before. Your image is beautiful. Your words flow smoothly with good rhymes and great imagery. I read good use of s, g, e, & w alliteration and internal rhyme of yellow/mellow and personification of Sol (sun). Your message is clear.

Nature really has grandeur!Your last stanza wraps it all together nicely, almost a thank you note to God.
