These are words of wisdom here. The wider the chasm, the longer it will take to build the bridge. We need to stop and think about what we personally do as individuals everyday. Do our actions unite or divide?

Smart, witty clever, fine correlation to current events Impactful in 17syllables. You say more and make more sense than 99% of our very well paid politicians! But then, politicians are often blind to the obvious!

Lol! Unless something benefits them, you can pretty much forget about it, yeah? Thank you for your review, Karenina.

Yup. Politicians do not score high on my selfless sacrifice scale! (smile)--Karenina

You have made excellent use of your seventeen syllables in this thought-provoking piece that conveys a powerful message about bridge building.
The U.S. has a long way to go when it comes to this matter.

I liked how you worked that last line for the dramatic effect: we get that feeling of walking out on the span in the middle of the chasm. "One must first seek actions that don't/ Widen the chasm." Its almost like the bridge gives way underneath us and we fall into the abyss. estory

-Good artwork and presentation.
-The syllable count is good,
along with the topic.
-Effective imagery and alliteration,
along with the use of
one continuous thought.
-The message is good, not only
for bridges, but for life situations, too.
-A good entry; good luck in the contest.

Hello,
I pray you are having a beautiful bless day. This is a cute reminder to those who do construction to make sure they know about chasm in the payment when they work on the pavement. You have selected a good photo to reflect your informative message in your 5-7-5 poem. I like your three lines. Yes, you need to know what you are doing when building a bridge. Well done.

This 5-7-5, Construction Basics 101, has the right set up and suggests basic engineering can be used even in metaphorical situations where the span of understanding requires that both parties agree to at least not move further apart.
