Thank you very much for your lovely review, Gert. I don't seek sympathy from my readers, but help and compassion from God -- but in stating my situation, yes, you are also hearing my pleas to Him for help. Yes, it is my faith that He is our Rock, and trusting in Him is the only way! I am holding onto Him. Thanks again.

This is beautiful Mary and I love the powerful message conveyed in it. He's always there. He is as close as our next breath. I've had quite a few near death experiences and He has always brought me through. I called on Him in distress in the midnight hour and He rescued me. He can't lie and He can't fail. I know that my Redeemer lives! I enjoyed reading this inspirational and well written work. Well done!

Nicely done in giving credit to the only one who can truly help us - guide us, give us hope. We owe so much to God - but He only asks that we follow his guidance, receive forgiveness from sin, offer hope to others. And to be holy.

This is beautiful writing, every singly stanza. The rhyming pattern is great, and the poem is clear and concise. But the most amazing part is your wording and how you express your feelings. Absolutely heartfelt and stunning, and you echo many of my own feelings. Thank you for this poem!

This is totally great! Talking about how much the Lord has done for me. Laid down his life for me! Paid for my soul with His life when we didn't even ask Him to do it! Thank you Lord for saving me!

A passionately rendered poem of faith, written in humble gratitude, almost smoothly rendered in rhyming rhythm, but for a couple of spots - easily corrected by reading aloud a couple of times - fully compliant with the theme requirement of the prompt. Best wishes in the contest...

This spiritual poem, My Offering, presented in eight, AABB-rhymed quatrains, praises and offers more to the One whose grace and power allows us to surrender self and seek His face.
