A very well-written even the odds poem about the tuneful transition from summer to autumn, it is a color display that varies from greens, pinks, and reds, to orange, yellows, and browns.

Those last three lines are magical and you created an ambient poem here, I also enjoyed the turn with 'cooling chorus' this poem is altogether delightful and charming and I had one sex left and it is all yours, love Dolly x

Comment from Gloria ....
Oh, I like this one. And particularly the opening and closing lines are: Listen, soul. Lovely imagery in your word choice and presentation that visually and verbally illustrates the changing colours.
Great job to you and best of luck in the voting booth.

I love the pictures you choose for this poem. I love the way you choose to transition from summer to fall, the personifications and metaphors are mesmerizing. I really liked this part: "fall whispers just beneath Summer's heat."
Thank you for sharing.

This is a very lovely, skillfully-written piece. You have made excellent use
personification, metaphors, and alliteration to describe the approach of autumn.

Fall does start out more mellow and smooth. It brings a sense of peace to watch the change of the season, all the colors delight the eye.

Really nice poem here, Mystery Poet. I enjoyed it.
These days, we find ourselves slipping into Fall. I think the first day of Autumn is September 21st, isn't it? Getting close.
I like so many things about your poem,
the fall colors
the personification of "Fall whispers"
the alliteration in "sings softly", "cooling chorus", and "sultry samba
to soothing soul"
the days are getting shorter
air is cooling down
and Norah Jones is playing the piano... (I like how you incorporate music with changing seasons. She fits!)
You've nailed this contest. How could you lose?
Cheers

Absolutely beautiful, engaging the change of seasons with music and then ending with the music of soul relating to the change of our soul as we come down from winter and are soothed by the change very well written and presented, best wishes for your contest****kahpot
