To exclude God from the mix is to invite disaster in. Any attempt to live without God's involvement in our life guarantees one thing for sure, and that a life wasted. Jeremiah chapter 10, verse 23 says in part that it is not given to a man who is walking to even direct his own steps. How often do we walk in the wrong direction simply because we do not know any better. Forget about seers and such, only God knows beforehand what will occur. Your excellent poem raises some interesting questions.

I think this is a good Free Verse although the style mystifies me. I just have to go by how the verse makes me feel.
I like the random musings. It makes me think.
Well done and thank you for sharing this with us.

This poem reminded me of Kipling's Elephant's Child who kept asking questions. Kipling also wrote,
"I keep six honest serving-men
(They taught me all I knew);
Their names are What and Why and When
And How and Where and Who.
You take a somewhat pessimistic view of life and indeed of God declaring neither of them actually being present any more.
The free verse is well done, possessing a metrical feel while not being a slave to any one particular metre.

Your random musings have constructed a lovely free verse, poem. They are indeed the eternal questions, and somehow, I don't think they'll be answered. Maybe God has a sense of humor or is vengeful, and more like the Greek Gods, hahahaaha
That's almost blasphemy for me saying that with my Jewish background, but I'm trusting in His forgiveness. I noticed no errors, and your author notes cleared up my wondering why no question marks. Thanks for sharing this free verse which I found beautiful, Ana.

Comment from Gloria ....
I very much enjoy your free verse, Susan and I, like you, frequently ask these questions. Almost never get an answer back. But I guess that's part of the human condition.
Your format works well and the two question marks emphasize the connection among it all.
Very nicely done.
