This is a beautiful poem, my friend. I love your dreams, playing amongst the stars, Frank Sinatra, Viking ships, dancing in Spain, skiing the Alps. Wow! Sounds amazing.
Ahh, then just feeling your tranquility, in your lovely Victorian home, with exquisite purple Iris sounds simply divine. I definetly think your grass is greener, lol. Great job. ~Kerry

Perfect rhythm with strong rhymes.
Wonderful expression of Love and the other side of the fence really isn't greener.
Nice format as it appears that you are debating with yourself. Good luck in the contest!! BB

I found your poem tranquil and serene. The background color worked well with 'Where Purple Iris Grow'. I didn't find it very romanticy, but at the very end where you said, "But if I traveled round the world
and learned all I could know,
I'd choose to be right here with you
where purple iris grow." there it showed it. Good luck in the love poetry contest!

In my opinion, a beautiful poem, well constructed in its fluid movement and exquisite stanza format - rhyming is easy and flows
smoothly into succeeding lines - truly a lovely poem...

Beautifully written! Such imagery that moves from your four walls to the galaxy, moon, also the description of the flowers outside the Victorian home. Simply wonderful read.

Oh, so sweet and so heart rendering!
Grandchild and Grandparent alike dream of things that 'could be' while at the same time learning that where we are is quite special too. I think they dream forward, we dream, period. Who knows when or how one might sail a Viking ship or dance Flamenco in Spain?
I enjoyed the reverie encapsulated here. All things are possible. But being with a loved one is Joy.
I love the use of the lavender screen, the purple irises, the blue room imagery. You set a calm, serene stage to evoke a sense of gentle belonging while the whispers of fantasy play in your head.
