Yes, life does seem to be full of ups and downs. It is how we handle them that counts. I am not ready for Down, Down, Down yet, but am getting closer. I do believe fate is to the newly born also. We are not told how long a life we will have except in eternity and that is forever in which place we are. Interesting.

Wow! This is such food for thought, and I sit already satiated, and yet. i could not resist a taste, and in consequence a complement, for such life enhancing nourishment!
For, I too often use seasonal metaphors and ride on autumnal winds, and fading outward magnificence. Yet, I see my gift of winter's work for a new spring regenerating from the rich soils of passing humus and our humanity becoming. Yes! G-one, but One with the DNA and all we know feeding our Uni-verse and God's creation of Earth.

Sorry but it was confusing to me. Wasn't sure what was happening with the broken sentences. Some of this was clear someone was very depressed but some of it sounded like they were tripping on drugs.

There are 51 references to 'self' in this piece - I, me, my, etc. Therefore I cannot help but become a little bored, although the author's description of his fall is all encompassing. I feel the event could have been better described with more reference to other effects on people, or surroundings, rather than himself.

If I am wrong about my interpretation please forgive me. I thought you were referring to life's ups and downs. If that's not it, please correct me. Although the imagery is there, the structure is hard to follow because of its hidden meaning.

Thank you for your correction. With this in mind, I will look at your poem again. You are a wonderful writer, It takes someone who developed their craft to provide such visual imagery.
