What a delightful poem Brooke. At least Sawyer is young and we can excuse the unexpected giggle. My husband and I were at a funeral once when my husband thought of something about our deceased friend, and he startled giggling which cause another friend to giggle. (Giggling is contagious) While I am usually the fun-loving one, I was mortified.

Sweet, fun and creative picture of Sawyer.

Enjoyed thoroughly.
Blessings
Janet

Very opt and beautiful picture... just like a wordless poem. The title itself creates a curiosity. Thanks for capturing the real moment with words that everyone faces as such.

This totally brought back so many memories!! Specifically 5th grade & then my Freshman year. BOTH TIMES I was sent out of class until I could "control myself". It was awful & embarrassing, yet when I relfect back, I can't help but giggle again. I think uncontrollable laughter, although it usually comes under the worst of circumstances/situations, it is still truly some of the best medicine one can ever have.

Well represented. :)

Brooke - the site won't allow me to say grin, grin, grin, but it would apply. Your work always brings me joy. You always say you write about simple things....Perhaps, but never simple emotions. Loved it! Bill

This is really good and that image said it all. What grinning grandsons will to the heart of a loving grandma. I felt like I was in the room. I enjoyed the read.

Unusual photo, of a reflection in the spoon and a nice giggling rhyme about the giggle that expanded. It gives a smile to start off this Friday morn.

Lol how funny! Yes when we have a fit of the giggles there's nothing we can do to stop it as you have explained so poetically.

Giggles have a way of just bursting out. I was discussing your poems with a co-worker who also teaches first grade. She's sharing a few with her class. I hope you don't mind.

Hi Brooke,
I love a good giggle...nothing like been drawn into the circle of chuckles... and well, the photo Miranda snapped of Sawyer is a true classic and so clever to-boot. There must be so many smiles around your life and that's why you can construct these gems to make us all feel like we're part of the joy... I loved your rhyming quatrains... your muse has lightened my day... smile)))))))).

With our thoughts we create,
a smile to a giggle,
James xx
