adorable pairing of photo and poem, which is in excellent 3/5/3 syllable count if one reads aren't as one syllable
good use of enjambment to make this one continuous sentence
and a lovely sentiment :-) Brooke

Dogs are a sure winner, because we just have to love them. Your little fellow would bring the same response from me. I'd hate it when he tears up something useful, but forgive as readily as I might a child, just because he looks so damned cute. Nice poem.

Hi,
You know, that is sooo true. Our pets love us regardless of our less than stellar moods!
Adorable photo! Good luck in the contest.
Cheers,
Keep Smilin'.... Jax

Dogs always give there unconditional love to its family. That's why I despise those who harm our four-legged friends. I love dogs. Always had one and always will.
Nicely said in your poem... John

Well, that is a nice thing to say in a short poem. Creative. Expressive and most sincere. Nice work. Good luck in the contest. Have a great weekend :)

Looks like a shitzu, I have a 12 year old shitzu who has been with me since six weeks old...they are characters and sometimes naughty, but always, always lovable...they love us.

Ha! I feel the exact same way about my Chihuahua, Gidget. She's loveable to me all of the time, and my wife the majority of the time, and that's about it. At nine years old, we got her when she was but three weeks old. Her mommy, Tiny, had died, hemorrhaging while giving birth to her. The family was away from the house at the time, not realizing that Tiny was going into labor. When they returned home from their dinner, it was too late for Tiny and her only other puppy. But, my Gidget lived, and somehow we managed to feed her with a syringe, teach her how to go to the bathroom, and she's been my constant friend and companion for the past nine years.
So, I know exactly where you're coming from here.
Well done, and best of luck to you!
