GOOD DIALOGUE AND INTERACTION BETWEEN THE MAIN PROTAGONIST AND THE REMAINING CHARACTERS. YOUR WRITING SETS THE SCENES AS I CAN IMAGINE THE CHARACTER WITH THE EGGS, CHICKEN AND MILK HAVING THEM PUT INTO THE FRIG. YOUR CLOSING SET THE HOOK REGARDING THE CHARACTER'S REACTION TO GENERAL SHERMAN. NICE BIT OF WRITING!

Miz IS THIS THE ACCENT SHE TALKS WITH, THUS THE SPELLING?

TAKE CARE,

RAY

I enjoyed Paige's afternoon with her new friends and hired help, unfolding more of the story. . . .

Found one sentence with some missing words, one idea to delete a few words:

Does anything in those bags need [to be put] in the refrigerator?"

She returned with two frosted glasses filled with crushed ice and slowly poured the lemonade into each glass.

Excellent!

I was worried about those sentences myself. I have changed them numerous times. Thank you for the kind review.

I think you've got a really interesting story going here but I gave you a four because this chapter seems rushed and not as well written as your other chapters. I did find a few errors but I don't know if they were intentional or not. I'm looking forward to reading the next chapter though!

this is very well written, barbara, you did a great job writing this chapter and bringing in the thoughts some people still have about the civil war. we used to go to savannah every december for the Christmas parade and the arts and crafts festival. a man that grew up in my hometown owned Savannah Street Sweets. his wife got the shop in the divorce settlement and he opened up his own candy kitchen two doors down from hers. he sells pralines at the crawfish festival every year and donates the proceeds to the First Methodist Church of Woodbine, where he went to church growing up

I am enjoying the story very much. Your characters are growing in my interest and I am pleased with the research you have done to make the present and past very real. This is a great chapter.

Hello again Barbara
I am still intrigued with the story line and its progression. I think it is fun that Cash made the point about cleaning up the north's mess after the picnic. Clever work

That is The War (two syllables, please!) of Northern Aggression. :D There was(1991) a great antique store called Jere's on the second floor of one of the cotton warehouses on the River. I have a couple of pieces from there. What a great place. Your story is bringing back memories. :) Nancy

Oh man, the southerners will never forget the civil war, I believe. They still will tell you how they were right all along, won't they. Great job.

A nice read, Barbie. I love anything to do with ghosts, as long as I don't have one in my room. Now an old house like that should have a lot to talk about. I'm intrigued and can't wait to read more. Hope you're having a good holiday. luv jada
