Wow this is very heavy, yet it is written with so much emotion
I could hardly hold back the tears. What a strong women to not drink wine again until she was in His presences.

Very well written. This sounds to me like a difficult contest. I wish you well. Your story is well written and enjoyable(as much as a eulogy can be. Good luck in the contest! Debbie

This is difficult subject, and one that begs deep reflection. You have tackled this well, but I thought you could have gone a bit deeper--maybe that's just me, though.
I only found this one error.

I decided not to enter this one. I reckon when I go they can do whatever, cause it won't make much difference to me. Well done with your entry, Buck

You know, your words are true. We do not have any say in what happens at "the memorial." Its not for us - it is for those that are left behind. (I'll be having too much fun to worry about it.)

Interesting idea to use the eulogy to talk about the drinking problem, and overcoming it. This was very touching and inspirational. I couldn't find anything to suggest.

Lovely tribute for a fine woman. Maybe I misread the contest prompt. "Write your own eulogy" to me sounds like the contest prompter wanted for you to say what you would like to hear about yourself if you were to be spiritually present in your own funeral

Thank you for reading and the generous review. Like most prompts, I think this could be interpreted several ways.

Great send off, if only all eulogy could be this sweet and open, instead of the stiff, rent-a-minister, that rarely even knows the deceased, drone on with a mishmash of cobbled stories, while everyone sits there going, is he talking about Bob? Good tight writing with a good flow that is filled with enduring thoughts of the dearly departed. As in this case your departed self, which gives you something to look forward to. Good stuff.

Thank you for reading and the generous review. (Personally hate the memorials where the Eulogy is done by someone that NEVER even met the person!)

Writer,

To know that God loves you that much and that you have also shared the warmest of love with your family and friends is the greatest gift anyone could ever receive. Though this was great..I believe your true eulogy by your family will even be better...I can sense the kindness in your words.

Carol

Hi There! What a great story. Writing an eulogy would be one of the hardest things in the world to do, but this story gives us some down to earth ideas. Nothing to complain about. Great Work here,.

I think it is good to celebrate a life instead of being sad and mourning someone's death, but I don't think I would be strong enough to do that when my heart was breaking over the loss of my mom. Your eulogy was sad, but I guess any eulogy would be. Very well written though and it was nice to read. Great job.
