I hear you as well! Same thing here in Australia. I even have had calls from Russia! Mostly there is no-one there, sometimes foreign languages speakers, many times just plain spam. Very annoying. We can all relate! Well written and fine rhyming here.

love this poem about spam calls. I hear you. I seem to get nothing but junk calls these days. living in Korea many of them are in Korean which i still struggle with. My wife responds to these calls mocking the caller until they hang up and remove us from their list.

Now that is a truly useful wife. I suggest you not only keep her around but you should right away do something to make her feel special.

Oh, dear. I know what you mean. I love it when poets put their frustrations in a well-written poem. I feel your pain and can top it. I get calls all the time telling me they've discovered I'm paying too much for car insurance. Liers! I no longer drive and haven't since the 90s. LOL!

I get similar calls and I have never driven in my entire 79 years of life.

This is wonderful. I just loved the flow and the imagery it projected to. I can relate my phone rings off the hook and it is either a bill collector, or someone trying to sell me burial insurance. I have actually turned the phone off, because it gets annoying. I have even tried to make my ring tone a song I like, but the phone makes me not like the song anymore. Well done.

Against telemarketers, there seems to be no way we can win, at least not for very long.

Those calls are a nuisance but the ones I hate most are the ones who aren't there. I find myself shouting into the phone'i f you don't want to speak to me why ring me up?'

But of course that is a wasted effort as they are long gone.

OMG. That is another one of my pet peeves. You just reminded me of another thing to complain about, the random ghost calls, you pick up and there is no one there. Argh!

You have summed it all up in a neat four stanza rhyme. I think we all get these calls. My husband even gets calls asking if he wants to sell our house. We put ourselves on the "Do Not Call" list, but that did no good. If I don't recognize a number, I no longer answer. Great poem. Thanks.

This simply rhymed and flowing poem tells of the bane of our technological existence. Robo calls and telemarketers are a nuisance. On most cell phones their is a way to block a number right after it calls you, so they can't call you again. You might want to google on how to do that.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

Thank you. My cell phone is not a problem, it is my landline that is under constant attack.

    No problem, Nomi.
I think if you pick up your landline and dial *60 you will get recorded directions on how to block calls.

We get many of these calls as well. We did get rid of our land line because it was mostly the telemarketers and who needs that and then have to pay the phone bill as well.

Well done.

I thought the picture paired perfectly with the poem. I got that you were trying to share a feeling of exasperation. Your poem was fun, and I liked your rhymes. Thanks so much for sharing! Best wishes to you.

Yes, all the above. Your phone rings all day long. But surprisingly for some, if you didn't have those calls you wouldn't have any calls at all.
That is even worse if the calls go beyond normal working people.
You have nice rhyming couplets and congratulations on being Recognized.

Thank you. I do not mind getting call occasionally, but some days it is a constant barrage of calls, and that is just too much.
