So, you all have the same problem we do with drivers on cell phones and other distractions. Perhaps something will eventually get through to them and put a cease to their actions....naw, never happen.

Yeah right, mate. Thanks for coming along.
Comment from Joan E.
I absolutely agree--it drives me particularly berserk to see pedestrians step off curbs with their nose in their cellphones! I also am offended when I am using my cane or my walker and able-bodied folks expect me to move out their way! We all need reminders like the one you pictured. Smiles- Joan

Thanks Joan. So much ignorance around today for sure. Appreciate your lovely review and we are definitely on the same page.

And this this is just how it should be in the land of the left. We have the same problem here in the states. People seem more distracted than ever walking and talking on their cellphones. I don't drive anymore because of my eyesight, but it is equally as bad on the roadways. People driving distracted...it's getting much worse. I'm fanning you now.
All my best to you and Louise,
Sally of the right sided world ;+)

Thanks very much for your lovely review. The subject had been on my mind for a long time as my wife being in a wheelchair brings us all sorts of trouble with folks going in wrong directions or preoccupied on cells or mobiles. Thanks again.

Yes, the absorbtion in those phones, looking down, walking into traffic - all happening today and it's irritating. But putting the street lights in the pavements - oi vey - I'm a short person - I can hardly see over the steering wheel as it is. To stand up while driving and see if the light changes. Oh my
Funny ramble, but some thoughts there. I've been in England several times and would have a panic attack trying to drive on the left. but yes, I am set in my ways I reckon.

Hi Gail not sure if we met before. Will look at your stuff. Still meeting new folks and making new friends as I battle with the question of leaving this place for a whole lot of reasons. Might even fan you from here and Tootsie55 (my wife's old account I also run now too) Thanks for the great review.

Where would you go then? You've been there a long time.

There are some options but FS is one of the best structures just too much favouritism and corruption in this place.

Way2go M8, look up, look out, just take notice, otherwise you could be injured or even killed. Nice piece of work, wonder how many will heed the message, you may have to text them all. Cheers and thanks for sharing, Kev

Hi Kev, yeah, good message about texting. Great meeting another Aussie. Still think we need an Aussie Group in hea... probably call it Oy, Oy, Oy! But Tom is funny about what he will and won't allow in this place. Another long story.

You're welcome. Group could be called "G'day M8" cheers Kev.
Comment from Alex Rosel
In reality, this post covers an array of topics concerning society and the individual's role in it. Unfortunately, individuals differ in their perceptions. One thing I can relate to is the obsessive attention many people pay to their mobile phones. A whole wide world, endlessly varied and interesting exists beyond the small screen of mobile phones -- a fact that appears to be ignored by many people today. It's sad, really.
Thank you for providing a thought-provoking read.

Thanks, Alex had not decided if this might have been more of a rant than a ramble but appreciate your thoughtful review.
Comment from Sandra du Plessis
A very well-written rant about people that do not care how they walk in the streets, they will see all the people do it a certain way and still do it against the norm, we are also 'keep left' in all ways.

Certainly it would be very helpful if people kept to the left as you suggest. I hadn't heard anything about putting traffic signals in the ground. I keep hoping the mania with cell phones will diminish but I guess that's going to happen.

Thanks for the lovely review. I don't think they have done or will do it another way the minority dictates things all the time.

Thanks new friend I think. Will fan you to keep in touch. I am currently running 2 accounts this one and Tootsie55 that was my wife's account long story as to why we took it down for a while. I am about to finish off her trip book she wrote about our Australian holidays we are both from Australia as you might have figured from the "Keep Left" thing. See you around.

That's wonderful! I did figure you were from there! I have a grand from Perth, but his name was Sydney! Go figure! Thanks for adding me! Great writing! Carry on!
