Sweet sweet poem and lovely embracing image to enhance it! I've known those times and the joy they hold...nothing at all like it! More difficult when they are close in your heart yet physically far away. Still, perhaps that is where the term "embracing memories" comes from. Very nice write!

Hi dear Karenina,
Thanks for your perceptive and affirming comments on this one. Indeed, both of us have been in this
kind of situation of such 'timeless and forever moments! Great note on where 'embracing memories'
come from...likely very true.
BTW dear friend, CONGRATS on your 2nd pl. win on your Compassion entry! Well deserved
and great to see you with votes and appreciations! Doing so great here! Glad for you and proud of you!
Love, blessings! Ronni

Loved your poem...I was pleasantly surprised with my second place win ...
I'm settling in nicely and have taken a crack at a few more contests...why not right? Can't win if you don't play! Blessings my friend....

And sometimes you just long to be loved like that--and hugged. See? That's exactly what I mean - you reach so deeply my heart hurts... With bliss. What a lovely, sentimental poem, my friend.

Hello dear Dawn,
Thank you for your heartfelt comments and compliments dear, though it concerns me about it
making your 'heart hurt', but poetically, emotionally I understand your reference.
Thanks again for your awesome sharing. God Bless!
Love, blessings always, Ronni

This poem is very sweet, Ronni :) Yet it also speaks of an aching heart that is missing the one they love. It makes me think of my uncle who is in a care home and getting used to being a widower. I feel his lonliness.

Thank you dear Joy, for your kind thoughts and perceptive comments. You grasped it perfectly, and indeed
I can well imagine your uncle feeling his loneliness and missing her hugs ever so deeply. I hope he has
some family members visit him and share hugs. Or maybe live too far away to do so, but still remember
him in their love and prayers.
Have a lovely week dear.
Blessings, best wishes, Ronni

I know. There are some that are true soul mates. At least we do have them in our minds though, thereby forever in our hearts. What a lovely little poem Miss Ronni!! Brightens my weekend!

You communicate love's passion compellingly in this free verse. And you know you are speaking to someone who values endless hugs! I admired your parallel picture selection. I hope your weekend is filled with "forever moments". Big hugs- Joan

This is a fine, delicate love poem written earnestly in one sentence fragmented into many lines. It appears simple but it is complex and natural at the same time, this Valentine for the heart.
Although commas were required, I love how you did not include them ti enhance the flow of your poem:
miss someone
love someone
One suggestion is to insert "them" here: love (them) in your heart
On a side note, you used the pronoun someone (singular) and then switched to them (plural). I often see poets and writers do this when they do not want to state the gender of the love object or subject.
In any event, this is a fine, breezy love poem. Thank you for sharing.
