I couldn't agree with you more! I admired your use of the 1-9-1 for political satire. Your use of echoing sounds added to the intensity of your message. Best wishes in the contest- Joan

Thanks for your supportive comments, Joan. I know I've used most of the short forms, and some of the long ones for opinions and observations on Mr. Blather, and there's more in the oven. The trouble is, they take me away from more deserving subjects.
(There I go again!)

I look forward to more of your work in long or short forms. Cheers- Joan

Thank you, Joan, but I warn you - most of the rest of my posts are quirky stuff that FanStorians usually are indifferent to.

I appreciate the warning, but I like "quirky"! See you again soon- Joan

Ogden,
What a great 1/8/1. I concur. But I am also trying desperately to find some redeeming quality about the POTUS...
THANK YOU FOR SHARING....

It's my pleasure to share my thoughts about him. Here's another. As you already know, 'trying desperately,' it's futile to seek anything admirable about the man. I find writing about him is lots of fun..
Thanks for your comments, jlsavell.

This one-nine-one, Buddying Up with the Enemy, uses the eleven syllables to point out a likely truth, with a neat beginning and ending word to sum it all up.

You've convinced me, Bill. Apparently, it's a pretty good poem with a lot to be said for it. I think it was over my head.
Thanks for setting me straight.

This speaks an excellent concept of inner contrast with a hypocrite show buddying up of a gullible person; well said, well done; thank you for sharing this with us; good luck with the contest. Keep writing. DR ALCREATOR (6-STAR)

Don't you know, there was no collusion! It must be true - the President himself said it.
I like the assonance of all the U sounds in your middle line, and of course the rhyming of first and last lines. great entry for the contest.

You are right, by golly! He might be lying! (I have a hunch, though, that he's a trouble maker.)
Thanks for your approval, Steve.
